Changelog

Each entry matches a version of the desktop app. Version numbers come from the same file the app reads, so what you see here is what you can download.

1.0.0

2026-09-27

Added

  • Offline face search for photo folders (JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP) and video folders (MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV).
  • Person library: one reference photo per person, either a flat folder or one sub-folder per person.
  • Video search with frame sampling every second by default, hits merged into time ranges you can preview at the exact second.
  • Adjustable similarity threshold (0.30–0.80, default 0.45) that re-matches existing embeddings without re-analyzing media.
  • Incremental indexing: unchanged files are skipped using size, modification time, SHA-256 and index version.
  • FAISS vector search with a NumPy fallback, pause/continue/cancel, and resume after an unexpected quit.
  • Export of matched media: copies of matching photos and full original videos into a folder you choose.
  • Offline license activation with RSA-2048 signed license codes — no internet connection required.
  • Optional device statistics ping (machine code, version, OS, language, activation state), on by default and switchable off in Settings.

Changed

  • The hardware fingerprint behind the machine code is now stable across routine changes: renaming the computer, adding RAM, installing a virtual machine or connecting a VPN no longer invalidate a license.

Fixed

  • Linux installs no longer produce an empty hardware fingerprint, which previously made every machine code identical.
  • Virtual network adapters (Docker, VPN, VM bridges) no longer change the machine code.

First public release. Face detection, 512-D embeddings and vector search all run on your computer; the only outbound data is the optional device statistics ping described in the privacy policy.
